Job Description

The Director of Pharmacy Operations oversees and is accountable for all operational aspects of the pharmacy, ensuring optimal performance of people, processes, and systems. This role involves maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations, upholding ACHC specialty accreditation, and aligning operations with the organization’s mission to improve healthcare access and outcomes in the community. The position includes managing three staff pharmacists and seven pharmacy technicians, and reporting to the Chief Pharmacy Officer. Additionally, the Director serves as the 'face' of the pharmacy at local events.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee pharmacy operations to ensure optimal performance of staff, processes, and systems.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Maintain ACHC specialty accreditation.
  • Align pharmacy operations with the organization’s mission to enhance healthcare access and outcomes.
  • Manage profit/loss tables, calculate EBITDA, and improve pharmacy performance.
  • Represent the pharmacy at local events.
Essential Skills
  • Pharmacist license in the state of Florida.
  • 10 years of pharmacy experience, including specialty pharmacy and specialty medications.
  • 10 years of leadership and/or operations experience within a pharmacy setting.
  • Experience with pharmacy ACHC or URAC accreditation process.
  • 340B pharmacy inventory management experience.
  • Strong business and entrepreneurial skills.
  • Commitment to deadlines.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • BS/BA required, preferably in Business/Healthcare Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or Logistics.
  • PharmD.
  • Preferred prior utilization of QS1 software.
Work Environment

The role is 100% onsite in a high-volume, fast-paced clinic pharmacy located in Oakland Park, FL. The shift is from Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturdays from 8 am to 2 pm.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $160000.00 - $185000.00/yr.
