Position:

The Pharmacist in Charge position is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and filling/checking prescriptions at the store level. This position is also responsible for all pharmacy operations at the store level.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver professional, prompt customer service and ensure accurate prescription dispensing.
  • Promote patient communication and provide drug-related information as needed.
  • Administer immunizations in compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Oversee pharmacy staff, including technicians and cashiers, and train on technology and equipment.
  • Manage pharmacy operations: inventory, ordering, audits, paperwork, and budget objectives.
  • Communicate department progress and issues to Pharmacy Specialist and Store Manager.
  • Resolve customer complaints and perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Perform other duties and assignments as directed.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy required
  • APhA Pharmacy Based Immunization Delivery certificate required
  • Valid provider level CPR certificate required
  • Basic computer/office skills (Microsoft Office Suite, email, voicemail, internet/intranet, etc.)
  • Excellent communication, organization, and prioritization skills
  • Ability to lead and direct the work of others
