  • Clinical Review & Intervention: Assessing medication orders to prevent drug-drug interactions, dosing errors, or contraindications, and suggestingformulary alternativesto optimize therapy.
  • Operations & Oversight: Compounding and dispensing medications while supervisingPharmacy Techniciansin the preparation and maintenance of supplies.
  • Education & Consultation: Providing drug information to physicians and nurses, counseling patients on their medications, and serving as aPreceptorto mentor pharmacy students.
  • Collaborative Care: Working directly with the healthcare team to resolve drug-related problems and facilitate smooth transitions of care.
What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • Pharmacist credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Pharmacy obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Pharmacy required.
