Inpatient Pharmacist – Specialty & Oncology Infusion (Contract)

Location: Seattle, WA (Two convenient locations)

Duration: 16-Week Contract

Schedule: Monday – Friday, Day Shift (No weekends/holidays!)

Compensation: $80.00 – $85.00per hour (Dependent on Experience)

The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Inpatient Pharmacist to join our clinical team in Seattle for a 16-week contract assignment. This role is pivotal in supporting our specialty and oncology infusion services, ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and pharmaceutical care.

You will have the opportunity to work at one or both of our premier Seattle-area locations, supporting a diverse clinical environment that includes an on-site Advanced-Urgent Care center and an Ambulatory Surgery Center.

Core Responsibilities

As a key member of the pharmacy team, your primary focus will be on distribution functions and clinical oversight:

  • Clinical Verification: Perform accurate order verification using Epic and conduct final product verification checks for specialty and oncology medications.

  • Expert Consultation: Serve as a primary resource for answering complex clinical questions and providing drug information to the healthcare team.

  • Technical Oversight: Supervise pharmacy technician workflows to ensure efficiency and strict adherence to safety protocols.

  • Multi-Unit Support: Provide pharmaceutical support for on-site Advanced-Urgent Care and Ambulatory Surgery Center operations.

Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of hospital inpatient pharmacy experience.

  • Licensure: Active Washington State Pharmacist License in good standing.

  • Clinical Skills: Strong background in distribution and order verification within a high-acuity setting.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Direct experience with Infusion/Oncology workflows.

  • Proficiency with Epic (Willow) and Pyxis dispensing systems.

  • A deep understanding of USP <797> and USP <800> standards for sterile and hazardous compounding.
