Job Title: Pharmacist

Location: Columbia, MD

Contract Length: 8 Weeks

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM (4–5 days/week; PRN pharmacist covers 1 day weekly)


Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacist for an 8-week contract assignment in Columbia, MD. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in sterile compounding and infusion services. The pharmacist will play a key role in medication management, patient education, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards in a dynamic pharmacy setting that provides daily IV infusions and CADD pump dispensing.


Local Pay: $60-$65/hr

Gross Pay: $ 2946.00 / Week

W2 / Taxable Pay: $ 1560.00 / Week

Per Diem: $ 1386.00 / Week


Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately review, verify, and dispense prescription medications in compliance with legal and professional standards.
  • Prepare and compound medications, including sterile IV solutions, following proper aseptic techniques.
  • Dispense and provide guidance on CADD infusion pumps (training available; prior pump experience preferred).
  • Monitor patient medication compliance and identify potential overuse or misuse.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records and pharmacy documentation.
  • Provide patient counseling on medication usage, dosage, storage, side effects, and drug interactions.
  • Offer clinical services such as blood pressure monitoring, cholesterol management, and smoking cessation counseling.
  • Educate patients on the proper use of medical devices (e.g., blood pressure monitors, glucose meters).
  • Ensure pharmacy operations comply with all federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels of pharmaceuticals and medical supplies.
  • Identify and resolve drug-related problems in collaboration with physicians and healthcare teams.
  • Supervise and support pharmacy staff, including technicians and clerks.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care outcomes.


Required Qualifications

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree
  • Active Pharmacist license in the state of Maryland
  • Strong knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and best practices
  • Experience with medication dispensing and patient counseling
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and ensure regulatory compliance


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with sterile compounding and IV infusion services
  • Familiarity with CADD infusion pumps or similar infusion devices
  • Prior experience in a clinical or infusion pharmacy setting
