Job Title: Clinical and Production Pharmacist - Bend, Oregon - Fully on-site position

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Review and verify medication orders, ensuring appropriateness and completeness with consideration for the specific age group served.
  • Verify all prescriptions not directly received from the prescriber or physician's agent.
  • Provide oversight of the safety, appropriateness, and effectiveness of pharmaceutical care as it relates to specialty products dispensed.
  • Assess patients at the initiation of drug therapy, develop a patient care plan, and implement a drug monitoring regimen.
  • Communicate with patients, physicians, nursing staff, other pharmacists, and healthcare team members to ensure clinical outcomes are met.
  • Compound intravenous and specialty pharmaceuticals aseptically, adhering to established guidelines and company policy.
  • Handle sterile and hazardous medications in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Ensure compliance with FDA, DEA, State Board of Pharmacy, OSHA, and other regulatory standards.
  • Provide indirect oversight of pharmacy technicians and support staff.

Essential Skills

  • BS in Pharmacy or PharmD degree.
  • Current Oregon Pharmacist License.
  • 1+ years of experience as a licensed Pharmacist preferred (open to entry-level/no experience).
  • Solid drug product and clinical pharmacy knowledge.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and a Windows-based environment, including Microsoft Word and Outlook.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule and rotate on-call duties based on business needs.

Work Environment

The schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5 PM, with on-call duties every other week. The team consists of three pharmacy technicians to support you. The work environment is guided by inclusion and offers comprehensive benefits and career development opportunities.

This is a Contract position based out of Bend, OR.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $44.09 - $78.70/hr.
