Project Manager – Permitting & Expediting
In-Person | Full-Time | South Florida
About the Role:
East of Collins Expediting is seeking a motivated, dedicated, and accountable Permit Project Manager to oversee permitting projects from start to finish. This role involves client communication, documentation management, and coordination with city agencies to ensure a seamless approval process. The Project Manager will report to City Managers and play a critical role in managing expectations, coordinating stakeholders, and delivering results.

Responsibilities:
Project & Permit Management:
- Oversee projects from initiation to completion, ensuring all permitting requirements—especially Master Permits—are met.
- Maintain up-to-date records in Zoho CRM and update city dashboards with project statuses and notes.
- Prepare and submit permit applications to government agencies.
- Occasionally handle in-person permit submissions or pick-ups when needed.
Client & Stakeholder Coordination:
- Communicate with clients throughout the permitting process and managetheir expectations effectively.
- Request and review construction documents from clients, property owners, and contractors.
- Coordinate with designers and contractors to resolve project comments.
- Organize and assign tasks to expeditors using Zoho Cliq.
Inspections & Compliance:
- Schedule inspections and notify clients of their assigned routes.
- Attend inspections as needed.
- Ensure all required county, state, and sub-permits are obtained.
Administrative & Financial Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Accounting Department to finalize project files and ensure proper billing.
- Support City Managers with additional tasks as needed.
Requirements:
-Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
-Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-Experience with Zoho CRM (preferred)
-Familiarity with permitting and regulatory processes (preferred)
-Reliable transportation for occasional deliveries/pickups
