Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Performance Media Operations Specialist, located in Los Angeles, CA. The Performance Media Operations Specialist is a hands-on execution role within the E-Commerce team, designed to support the Performance Media Analyst. While the Analyst focuses on strategy, forecasting, and reporting, this role owns the day-to-day setup, configuration, and live management of paid media campaigns across Meta, TikTok, and Google Ads. If you are someone who thrives in the build — crafting ad sets, uploading creatives, fine-tuning targeting, and making sure every campaign launches correctly and on time — this role is built for you.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Paid Social — Campaign Build & Launch

  • Build and configure all campaign structures in Meta Ads Manager and TikTok Ads Manager: campaigns, ad sets, and individual ad units from brief to launch.
  • Upload and organize creatives — static images, video, carousels — ensuring correct formats, aspect ratios, and copy match per placement.
  • Set up audience targeting for both prospecting and retargeting ad sets: custom audiences, lookalikes, interest stacks, and exclusion layers.
  • Configure budget allocation and bid strategies at the campaign and ad set level as directed by the Analyst.
  • Implement UTM parameters and tracking tags on all ads to ensure accurate attribution in GA4.
  • Execute A/B tests by duplicating and modifying ad sets or creatives with isolated variables; document test structures clearly for the Analyst's review.

Meta Commerce Manager & Catalog Ops

  • Monitor the Meta Commerce Center daily: flag catalog errors, resolve product feed issues, and ensure inventory sync is current.
  • Manage catalog sets and data feeds — updating product sets tied to dynamic ads and retargeting campaigns.
  • Troubleshoot pixel misfires, event mismatches, and catalog disapprovals with a structured approach and clear escalation to the Analyst when needed.

Paid Search — Execution Support

  • Coordinate with the paid search agency on a daily basis to provide up-to-date product and inventory information for campaign alignment.
  • Execute search term report pulls and flag negative keyword opportunities, new match type tests, and bid adjustments to the Analyst.
  • Update ad extensions — sitelinks, callout extensions, structured snippets, and image extensions — as directed during campaign refreshes.
  • Upload revised ad copy, update final URLs, and apply landing page swaps as needed for promotional periods or bestseller rotations.
  • Maintain organized, clearly labeled campaign naming conventions across all Google Ads accounts for clean reporting.

Quality Control & Pre-Launch Checks

  • Run full pre-launch QA checklists on every campaign before going live: budget caps, targeting logic, creative specs, pixel events, and UTMs.
  • Verify that all active ads are serving correctly post-launch; flag delivery issues, disapprovals, or low-volume ad sets immediately.
  • Maintain a shared campaign log documenting all builds, edits, pauses, and launches with timestamps for cross-team visibility.

Day-to-Day Platform Monitoring

  • Check all active campaigns daily across Meta, TikTok, and Google Ads for delivery anomalies, budget pacing issues, or creative fatigue signals.
  • Pull and organize raw performance exports from each platform into structured Excel files for the Analyst's weekly and monthly reporting.
  • Maintain up-to-date budget trackers in Excel — logging daily spend, pacing vs. plan, and flagging over- or under-delivery to the Analyst.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • 1–2 years of hands-on experience setting up and managing paid media campaigns in Meta Ads Manager, TikTok Ads Manager, or Google Ads.
  • Demonstrated ability to build campaign structures independently — from campaign level down to individual ad creation — with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Solid understanding of paid social fundamentals: audience targeting, creative specs, bidding options, and campaign objectives.
  • Working knowledge of Meta Commerce Manager, product catalogs, and dynamic ad feeds.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for daily budget tracking and data organization (pivot tables, basic formulas).
  • Familiarity with UTM parameters, pixel events, and conversion tracking setup in GA4.
  • Strong organizational habits — able to manage multiple live campaigns simultaneously with clear documentation.
  • Experience with Meta pixel troubleshooting and Catalog/Commerce Manager feed management is a plus.
  • Exposure to paid search campaign execution — Google Ads ad copy uploads, extension management, and keyword list maintenance — is a plus.
  • Background in an e-commerce brand, performance marketing agency, or retail/luxury environment is preferred.
  • Experience supporting a senior marketer or analyst in a structured campaign workflow is preferred.
