Infrastructure Engineer - Test Tools Technical Support 
The Test Enablement Team, as part of Enterprise Application Services(EAS) team is responsible for  the technical support of all EAS Owned Test Tools , and associated infrastructure, used by the CIO Lines of business.  
Technical support for EAS Owned tools includes Level 2 thru advanced Engineering Support for tools , infrastructure and configuration design, software installations,  and patching.  

In addition, Test Enablement is tasked with reviewing new capabilities, research of new tools, and conduction Proof of Concept testing of tools being considered for inclusion in the CTO EAS Owned tool suite.  

Position Responsibilities:

As an Infrastructure Engineer with the Technical Tool Support team, you will be a member of a skilled team of System Operations and Infrastructure Engineers and Support Analysts, and be responsible for the support of vendor tools that make up the EAS Performance Engineering platform. 

Support in this role will be at Level 2 and Level 3 support, specifically focus CA Devtest Linux, Red Hat Linux , and the Tier1App suite of products - - GCEasy, FastThread, and HeapHero and will provide server support, software installations, vulnerability remediation’s and patching, and general availability of the infrastructure and the health of the software installations. 
Support may also expand into Broadcom Blazemeter infrastructure on the Kubernettes platform. 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  • Partner with LOB Test groups to coordinate test needs, and ensure availability of the Performance Test Platforms that host the above CTO Owned toolsets. 
  • Creation of Performance Test projects as requested by LOB users in the formal request portal, and assigned to you by management
  • Respond to service requests for user issues as assigned to you by management
  • Work with support team members to:
    • Review Disaster recovery plans and participate in Business Continuity simulation events as mandated by the Business Continuity Officer/Business Continuity Manager.
    • Address software and network vulnerabilities within the time-parameters set by the Enterprise Vulnerability central team  and provide weekly updates to management
    • Provide patch support to Middleware Patch teams and coordinate outages with LOB Performance Test groups
    • Conduct mandated software upgrade activities, patch and hotfix installations , and testing of new tool releases prior to production deployment.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of systems analysis experience, systems programming experience or combination of both
  • 3+ years of Windows OS administration experience
  • 6+ years of experience with scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell, Python, Shell, VBScript, or JavaScript
  • 3 + years of quality assurance and systems/application testing experience involving UNIX or Linux based products and technologies


Desired Qualifications

  • Knowledge of design methodology, Infrastructure operations support or engineering
  • 2+ years of experience with Agile, Kanban, or Lean methodology
  • Knowledge and understanding of networking and security concepts, including, networking protocols, interoperation with firewalls and load balancers
  • Knowledge and understanding of technology software: deployments design, engineering, and support
  • 4+ years of MS SQL server experience
  • 3+ years of Kubernetes experience


Other Desired Qualifications
  • Good understanding of industry standards and best practices in Windows / Unix system administration and support.
