Payroll Analyst
Location: New York, NY 10036 (On-site)
Duration: 8 months + possible extensions
Rate: $48/hour W2
This on-site Payroll Analyst opportunity in New York, NY supports a large enterprise environment, working heavily with SAP payroll adjustments and Excel-based data management. The role is contract-based and involves supporting payroll operations during Oracle testing, with a focus on accuracy, compliance, and deadline-driven project work.
This is a fast-paced, high-impact role where you’ll step in to support critical payroll functions during a system transition period. You’ll gain exposure to complex, multi-state payroll environments, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to time-sensitive projects. Required Skills & Experience
· 3+ years of payroll experience in a large company setting
· Strong attention to detail with high accuracy
· Intermediate Excel skills (VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, pivot tables)
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
· Understanding of HR policies/programs and payroll relationship
· Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· Ability to prioritize competing demands in a fast-paced environment
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively
· Proactive mindset with strong customer service skills
Desired Skills & Experience
· Experience with SAP Employee Central Payroll (ECP) or other HCM systems
· Experience with union payroll (multi-frequency, end-to-end processing preferred)
· Familiarity with multi-state payroll environments
