Patient Service Coordinator


Pride Health is seeking a Patient Service Coordinator for one of its clients in Massachusetts.

This is a 3-month contract with the possibility of extension with competitive pay and benefits.


Location – Boston, MA - 02114

Pay range - $20 to $24 per Hour on a W2.

Length of assignment – 3 Months of Contract (Possibility of extension)

Shift / Schedule – Monday to Friday, 08:30 AM - 5:00 PM


Job Duties

  • Performs all check-in and check-out functions, as outlined by the client Front Desk Standards of Operations.
  • Maintains confidentiality and privacy, which are consistent with HIPAA guidelines.
  • Provides support and information to providers to problem-solve and manage complex administrative patient issues.
  • Triages and manages complex telephone calls, utilizing courteous customer service skills.
  • Maintains confidentiality and privacy, which are consistent with HIPAA guidelines.
  • Completely performs and is a resource to other team members in all revenue enhancement activities, including but not limited to registration verification, co-payment collection, cash management, encounter form reconciliation, etc.
  • Schedules patient appointments and procedures using the Epic systems, Cadence, and Epic Clinical programs.
  • Manages Epic In Baskets & Epic Workqueues
  • Coordinates and tracks appointments via Epic Follow Up Work Queue Lists
  • Assists with training and orientation of new staff, where applicable.
  • Performs all other related tasks which would facilitate the flow of patients through the practice, or which would enhance the quality of service to patients.


Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a healthcare front desk or admin role.
  • Experience with Epic or similar EHR systems.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of medical office procedures and HIPAA compliance.
