Overview


We are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient individual to join our team as a Partner Technical Manager/Sales Engineer. This role requires a strong foundation in software engineering, exceptional client-facing skills, and a proven ability to manage and support technical aspects of client implementations and partnerships. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between our product engineering team and our partners, ensuring successful integration and maximizing technical partnership value.


Technical Partnership Management & Sales Support

  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for strategic partners and enterprise clients.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to understand client requirements, architect technical solutions, and contribute to proposals and statements of work. Conduct technical presentations, product demonstrations, and workshops tailored to the audience's technical level and business needs (working with the overall retail and operational organization); collaborate with the sales team to understand client requirements, architect technical solutions, and contribute to proposals and statements of work.
  • Translate complex technical concepts and product capabilities into clear business value for partners.


Implementation and Integration

  • Guide partners and clients through the technical implementation process, with a focus on API integration and deployment.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, integration guides, and best practice materials for partners and partner products.
  • Provide hands-on technical support during proof-of-concepts (POCs) and pilot programs, troubleshooting integration issues as they arise.
  • Act as the voice of the partner/client to the internal product and engineering teams, advocating for features and improvements based on market needs.


Technical Expertise and Data Management

  • Execute and analyze SQL queries for data extraction, reporting, and implementation validation purposes.
  • Possess and apply a foundational understanding of cloud database services, specifically within the AWS ecosystem, to discuss architectural considerations and support partner deployments.
  • Stay current with product updates, industry trends, and competitive technologies.


Qualifications


Required Experience

  • 5+ years of professional experience in a technical role, such as Sales Engineering, Solutions Architecture, or Partner Engineering.
  • Proven Software Engineering background with hands-on experience in modern programming languages and system design principles.
  • Demonstrable experience in client-facing roles, including managing technical relationships, presenting to technical and non-technical audiences, and leading technical discussions.
  • Extensive experience supporting and troubleshooting client implementations, particularly involving complex API integrations.


Required Skills

  • Expert proficiency in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries.
  • Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure concepts, particularly in relation to database services within AWS (e.g., API, s3, SFTP, RDS, DynamoDB).
  • Strong communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a methodical approach to technical troubleshooting.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
