Under general supervision, to perform a variety of unskilled, semiskilled and skilled tasks relating to the maintenance and repair of golf course grounds, facilities and equipment. Perform maintenance at the two city-owned municipal golf courses and the aquatic center.
Must be 16 or older to apply.
Cut grass, weed eat and trim at South and North Trace Golf Courses and aquatic center.
Maintain and repair facilities grounds; trim bushes, trees and shrubs; perform rough carpentry and concrete work; paint buildings and facilities; perform minor custodial duties as assigned and spread mulch throughout the golf courses.
Empty trash cans and pick up trash around the course.
In a safe and effective manner operate equipment such as tractor, mower, dump truck, pickup truck, chain saw, and various other hand and power tools.
Manually shovel and move salt, dirt, snow etc.; lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
Conduct work in all kinds of weather, pleasant, inclement and hazardous.
Any other duties that are assigned by the Heads Greenskeeper.
Effective oral and written communication skills and demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service.
Ability to follow oral and written instructions and to develop and maintain positive working relationships.
Must be willing and able to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions, including significant heat.
