Role Description
We're looking for a part-time Events Associate who brings genuine energy, a love for people, and a great eye for the details to our off-site events and pop-ups! This role is hands-on from start to finish - you'll help set up, sell, and break down events.
What You'll Do
- Represent Abbode at pop-ups, markets, and private activations
- Drive sales by engaging guests, explaining our embroidery offerings, and guiding them through a limited on-site embroidery menu
- Work closely with our embroiderers to manage order flow, set accurate expectations on timing, and keep the experience running smoothly
- Assist with full event buildout and breakdown - this includes loading, transporting, and setting up
- Maintain a clean, branded, and welcoming event setup throughout the duration of the event
- Accurately handle transactions and track orders on-site
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in retail, events, or hospitality
- Energetic and confident - you can strike up a conversation with anyone and make them feel excited about what we do
- Physically capable of and comfortable with buildout and breakdown, including lifting and moving product and display materials
- Highly organized under pressure - events move fast and order accuracy matters
- A team player who can work seamlessly alongside a small crew
- Flexible availability including weekends and evenings
- Reliable transportation or comfort navigating NYC
**Pay Range: $17-23. Event-based scheduling - hours will vary by month**
