Automotive Technology instructors to teach a variety of subjects such as Basic Automotive Service, Auto Science, Braking Systems, Suspension/Alignment, Electrical Systems, Auto Heating/Hair Conditioning, Engine Repair, Transmissions, Electric Vehicles and Auto Emission Systems (SMOG)
Class modality is face-to face and includes lecture and lab.
Any bachelor’s degree or higher AND two (2) years of professional experience
ORany Associate degree AND six (6) years of professional experience.
Additional assessment is required for Applicants with foreign degrees from colleges or universities outside of the United States must have their coursework evaluated by a professional association that is a member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services(
NACES)
or Academic Credentials Evaluation Institute, INC.(
ACEI)
. A copy of the evaluation must be submitted with your on-line application.LicenseASE Certification G1, A6 required.
Desired QualificationsCalifornia Smog License
Additional ASE Certifications will allow a candidate to teach additional classes
The District will allow 6 months to obtain A1-A8 ASE certifications.
Candidates will have 1 Year to obtain L1 ASE Certification.
