The successful candidates for these positions will perform varied public contact services, which may include customer service work, cash handling, staffing events and programs, routine labor and custodial work, light office work, setting up and tearing down events, etc.
This recruitment will create an eligible list to fill Attendant vacancies that occur in the Parks Division in the next six (6) months.Applications will be accepted until the closing date; however, the selection process will begin prior to the closing date.

Aquatic Attendants are responsible for setting the stage for a positive experience at Goodman Pool. Aquatic Attendants report to Head Attendants, Aquatic Supervisors, and the Aquatic and Parks Program Coordinator. Examples of duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Explain rules, policies, and procedures
- Resolve customer complaints in a positive manner
- Handle cash
- Answer phone calls and questions
- Enter swim test names
- Maintain cleanliness of facility
- Check in and out life jackets
- Use appropriate customer service skills
- Handle and sell concessions items
- Create membership passes
- Maintain a positive atmosphere
- Perform related work as required
HOURS: During Aquatic Season, Aquatic Attendants will work between 10 and 40 hours weekly. Must be flexible to work varying shifts including early mornings, days, evenings, weekends, and holidays from May through August/end of season.
Special Event AttendantThe Special Event Attendant is the first face that many park users see when they attend events in Parks. Events include Sina Davis Movies in the Park, Learn To Series, Hayride, and many others. Special Event Attendants report to the Recreation Services Coordinator. Examples of duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Use appropriate customer service skills
- Set up and tear down for events
- Staff information tents
- Maintain a positive atmosphere
- Perform related work as required
HOURS:Special Event Attendants will work 0-15 hours weekly depending on the number of events, programs, activities, and schedule. Must be flexible to work mornings, evenings, and weekends.All applicants will be considered for these positions. Depending on the number of applications, random selection may be used to determine who will proceed to the interview process.

- Employees who operate City vehicles must be age 18 years of age or older and must hold a valid driver's license. Operation of City vehicles is not a requirement.
Physical Requirements:- Employees may be expected to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds for short periods of time.
