We’re partnering with an exceptional district in Norfolk County, MA searching for a Behavioral Paraprofessional for the remainder of the 2025-2026 school year.


Position Details:

  • Location: In-person in Norfolk County, MA (no hybrid or remote options available)
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • End Date: June 16th, 2026
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:40am-3:20pm; 8:40am-12:00pm every other Wednesday
  • Hours: Approximately 32 hours per week
  • Grade Level(s): Elementary, K-5


Responsibilities:

  • Provide ABA-based 1:1 and small-group support for elementary students in grades K–5 with disabilities and significant behavioral needs.
  • Implement individualized learning and behavior programs written by the behavior team and supported by the classroom special education staff.
  • Teach and reinforce early elementary skills in communication, peer interaction, classroom readiness, and reading and math foundations.
  • Support students in using newly learned skills with different adults and across the school day such as arrival, centers, specials, lunch, recess, and transitions.
  • Maintain continuous visual supervision and follow all school safety procedures, including elopement and “lost child” protocols.
  • Collect and graph daily treatment data to track skill progress and behavior patterns and to guide team adjustments.
  • Respond calmly and consistently to significant behaviors by following behavior intervention plans and de-escalation procedures with fidelity.


Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting elementary (K–5) students in a school or special education setting.
  • Working knowledge of ABA fundamentals, including reinforcement, prompting, and data collection.
  • Ability to follow behavior and safety plans consistently and with attention to detail.
  • Comfort providing 1:1 support for students with significant behavioral needs while remaining calm and professional.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with BCBAs, special educators, and school staff.
