Bonaccord Capital Partners is seeking an experienced Paralegal in our midtown New York City office. Working closely with our General Counsel, the Paralegal’s responsibilities will span a wide variety of legal and compliance activities.


This should not be viewed as a routine paralegal job and is best described as a "paralegal plus” position. In this role, no two days will be the same – one day the Paralegal may be asked to visit state court or other governmental offices, another day will be full of document review, and another may be full of client interactions/negotiations.


This role requires an individual with the right attitude – a diligent, self-motivated and dependable person eager and willing to learn and do new things, with a keen attention to detail in all tasks. The ideal candidate is someone who wants to grow with the company and be part of Bonaccord’s journey.


Responsibilities

  • Maintains and updates other corporate records, files and databases
  • Reviews, tracks, and updates investor database
  • Assists the General Counsel with drafting and reviewing certain legal contracts, correspondence and other documents
  • Assists the General Counsel on transactional work, including Fund entity formation and various financing transactions
  • Provides support related to litigation, mediation, arbitration, and responses to complaints
  • Assists the General Counsel and CCO with other day-to-day legal and compliance matters
  • Assists the General Counsel and CCO with Form ADV, Form PF, applicable State Blue Sky and other regulatory filings
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.


Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a paralegal or similar work at an asset manager, private fund, or similar.
  • Bachelors degree required. Paralegal certification a plus.
  • Proficiency using virtual data rooms to upload and organize documents
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Superb attention to detail, as well as organizational and multitasking skills
  • Team-oriented attitude



Hybrid Work Environment

  • Must be able to work on-site Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Wednesday and Friday are the standard work from home days, but you may need to work on-site on these days based on business needs.
