Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated painter for the first shift at our Delaware, Ohio location. As part of our team, you will contribute to the production of high-quality products by utilizing your painting skills and knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate product knowledge of materials in the department.
  • Prepare surfaces before painting, including sanding and taping off areas.
  • Use tools such as HVLP spray guns, drills, and sanding equipment.
  • Mix and match paints and colors to meet job requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Purchasing Department to order paints.
  • Assemble products when requested.
  • Interpret technical documents, including diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Adhere to all company and industry safety requirements.
  • Identify defective items and handle them according to established procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

  • At least 1 year of experience as an automotive or industrial painter.
  • At least 1 year of experience with paint booths and HVLP spray guns.
  • Experience working as a painter in a manufacturing facility.
  • Ability to read a tape measure, and proficiency in sanding, blasting, production, powder coating, auto body, and general labor tasks.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in the sign industry as a painter.
  • Mechanical aptitude and proficiency with hand and power tools.

Work Environment

Work in a standard manufacturing facility that is non-climate controlled and may be loud, requiring earplugs for certain tasks. The current schedule operates on overtime, with shifts from 6 AM to 4:30 PM Monday through Friday and 6 AM to 2:30 PM on Saturdays

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Delaware, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
