Role Description:
The Packaging Technician is a full-time, on-site role located in Oklahoma City, OK. The role will function in all tasks and materials associated with setting up, running and shutting down the appropriate equipment for kegging and canning beer. The pay for the position is $16 per hour with added shift differentials.
Job Responsibilities:
- Operation of canning line, keg filler, and all associated equipment
- Regular CIP, set-up and tear-down of all packaging equipment
- Report daily progress, challenges and concerns to Packaging Lead
- Observe and assist in preparation and execution of the maintenance of packing equipment
- Maintain clear direction and professionalism in the face of challenges and adversity
- Maintain high levels of efficiency and follow proper protocol
- Work with QA/QC department to maintain packaging standards
- Work varying shifts including the possibilities of afternoons, evenings and weekends
- Maintain a clean working and packaging environment
- Knowledge and compliance with all safety protocol and PPE implementation
Candidate Qualifications:
Absolute:
- Self-motivated, self-starter with the ability to excel in instances of limited direction
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
- Dedicated sense of urgency and drive to achieve objectives
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks with varying levels of importance and difficulty
- Computer and software competency, proficiency in Excel
- Mechanical intuition
- Familiarity with sanitary processes
- Display knowledge of mechanical equipment and ability to troubleshoot on the fly
- Ability to lift 50lbs shoulder high and 100lbs waist high
- Ability to climb stairs and ladders
- Ability to work on your feet for an entire shift
- Competent with all forms of safety protocol
- Ability to work occasional weekends
- Ability to obtain and maintain an Oklahoma ABLE License
- Age requirement – over 21
Preferred:
- Food or beverage packaging systems and process experience
- Ability to safely operate powered industrial equipment (ex. Forklift/Auto jack)
- Familiarity with beer and brewing processes
