Job Title: Packaging Production Coordinator

Position Summary
The Packaging Production Coordinator supports the execution of packaging development and production across multiple programs. This role works closely with Packaging Design, Engineering, Production, and both domestic and overseas packaging vendors to ensure packaging is developed accurately, approved efficiently, and delivered on time. This is a detail oriented, execution focused role centered around process management, communication, and quality control. It is best suited for someone who enjoys working within systems, tracking progress, and ensuring consistency rather than leading creative development.
Key Responsibilities:
Packaging Development & Execution
• Support packaging development from concept handoff through final production
• Prepare and release packaging files to vendors in collaboration with Packaging Designers
• Track packaging status across all styles and ensure timelines are met
Vendor Communication (Domestic & Overseas)
• Serve as a key point of contact for both domestic and overseas packaging vendors
• Send and manage color comments, revisions, and approvals
• Follow up regularly with vendors to track development and production status
• Act as a liaison between internal teams and vendors to ensure clear, consistent communication
Proofing & Quality Control
• Review digital and physical proofs from vendors for accuracy
• Partner closely with Packaging Designers to review artwork, color, materials, and finishes against approved intent
• Consolidate feedback and communicate clear, organized comments back to vendors
• Help ensure all revisions are implemented correctly through final approval
Color, Materials & Production Standards
• Help maintain consistency across packaging programs
• Work in collaboration with Packaging Designers to ensure ink downs, color standards, and material specs are executed correctly
• Flag any inconsistencies, risks, or production issues early and escalate as needed
Fit & Structural Coordination
• Partner with the Packaging Engineer to support packaging fit and structural accuracy
• Help coordinate communication between Engineering and vendors to ensure dielines, dimensions, and product fit are executed correctly
• Track updates and ensure structural changes are clearly communicated and implemented
Production Support & Tools
• Assist with light artwork updates when needed (file prep, minor edits, BOM updates)
• Support creation of digital loading guides and production reference materials
• Maintain organized records of packaging files, approvals, and revisions
Cross Functional Collaboration
• Work closely with Packaging, Production, Compliance, and Sourcing teams to support smooth execution across programs
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Industrial Design, Graphic Design with a production focus, or a related field
• 1 to 5 years of experience (internships or relevant experience welcome)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Comfortable working within structured processes and managing multiple timelines
• Strong communication skills, especially when working with vendors
• Basic proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Excel preferred
• Interest in packaging production, materials, and manufacturing processes

The salary range for this New York based role is $65,000 to $90,000. Base salaries are determined during the interview process by evaluating a candidate’s experience, skills, and alignment with internal peers, as well as the scope and responsibilities of the position.
