Job Title: Packager (1st Shift) ($18.00/hr.)

Job Description

The Packager plays a key role on the production line by inspecting, labeling, and packaging pharmaceutical products in a fast-paced, FDA-regulated environment. This role works Monday through Friday on first shift (7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.) and involves close collaboration with skilled operators to ensure products are packaged accurately, safely, and in full compliance with quality standards. Responsibilities

  • Inspect and package pharmaceutical products according to written packing instructions and standard operating procedures.
  • Perform detailed visual inspections of products and packaging components to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Finalize and verify labeling, including shipping details, to confirm accuracy and completeness.
  • Work efficiently on a production line while maintaining high levels of attention to detail and product quality.
  • Utilize a computer at times to enter data, review instructions, and complete required documentation.
  • Follow shipping and packaging instructions to ensure the correct product is placed in each package and prepared for shipment.
  • operators and other team members to meet production goals and quality expectations.
  • Handle and lift materials and products weighing between 5 and 40 pounds throughout the shift.
  • Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and FDA regulations at all times while working in a clean, controlled environment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to support safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
  • Follow all safety procedures and quality guidelines, promptly reporting any issues or deviations.

Essential Skills

  • At least 1 year of experience in packaging, preferably in a production or manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds on a regular basis during the shift.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Good vision with the ability to perform detailed visual inspections (corrective lenses such as glasses or contacts are acceptable).
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment while maintaining accuracy and quality.
  • Basic computer skills to follow instructions and complete simple data entry tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to following written instructions and procedures.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with skilled operators and other team members.
  • Willingness and ability to follow GMP and FDA-regulated processes and guidelines.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience working in an FDA-regulated environment is a strong plus.
  • Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Previous experience in pharmaceutical, medical device, or other highly regulated manufacturing settings.
  • Comfort working on a production line with repetitive tasks while maintaining focus and accuracy.
  • Strong reliability, punctuality, and consistent work habits.

Work Environment

This role is based in a clean, temperature-controlled, FDA-regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing facility producing IV bags and injectable drugs. You will work on the first shift from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The site operates on two floors and is expanding, with additional lines and shifts planned, offering opportunities to grow as the operation scales. The current packaging team is small, so new team members will be joining at an early stage of growth. Work is performed on a production line and involves standing, moving, and lifting 5 to 40 pounds throughout the day. The environment follows strict GMP and FDA requirements, with a strong emphasis on safety, cleanliness, and quality in all operations. Appropriate attire and any required protective gear are provided and must be worn in accordance with site safety and cleanliness standards.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
