Job Title: Finish Technician - 2nd Shift

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated 2nd shift Finish Technician with a pathway into becoming a Maintenance Technician. Initially, you will start as a Finish Technician and be responsible for setting up machines and promptly responding to machine malfunctions within a specific department. This role involves troubleshooting and minor repairs, collaborating with a Maintenance Technician for complex issues, and educating fellow operators to prevent repetitive machine errors.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate finishing machines, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on equipment malfunctions.
  • Collaborate with Maintenance Technicians for advanced repair solutions.
  • Educate and guide other operators to avoid repetitive machine errors.
  • Monitor all equipment within the department to ensure smooth operations.
  • Communicate professionally via radio calls to address equipment issues promptly.

Essential Skills

  • Mechanical aptitude and basic understanding of electrical systems.
  • Ability to work overtime and in other areas as needed.
  • Logical thinking skills for problem identification and solution development.
  • Professional communication skills for effective interaction with team members.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Basic electrical understanding, including safety protocols like LOTO.
  • Experience in machine operating and setup.
  • Customer service mindset, catering to the production team's needs.

Work Environment

Experience a physically demanding job in a hot environment during summer, with exposure to paint and stain fumes. Personal protective equipment is provided and required for specific tasks. Work hours are Monday to Friday, 2:30 pm to 11:30 pm, with a shift premium for off-shift hours.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Goshen, IN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.
