Job Title:Heavy Equipment Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to transport salt and other materials within a mine. This role includes loading, hauling, and unloading materials efficiently while adhering to all safety regulations and operational procedures.

Responsibilities

• Move material using heavy equipment underground.
• Transport salt from one end of the mine to the other using heavy equipment.
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet required specifications.
• Assist the maintenance department with preventive maintenance on equipment when needed.
• Operate a forklift and other heavy equipment to move salt throughout the mine.
• Complete assigned paperwork accurately for specific customers/orders.
• Perform daily housekeeping tasks.

Essential Skills

• Experience with Heavy Equipment Operating (excavators, dump trucks, haul trucks, etc.)
• Ability to work underground and spend the majority of the shift in a salt mine.
• Capability to lift 50+ lbs repetitively during a 10-hour shift.
• Possession of steel-toed boots/shoes.

Pay Rate:

• $22.30/hr

Shift:1st (6AM-4PM) - Monday-Friday

50 hours a week expected

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $46384.00 - $47632.00/yr.
