Support Critical Nuclear Operations at a Leading National Laboratory
COMPA Industries is seeking skilled Operations Support Specialists to support construction and operational activities at TA-55 / PF4, a Hazard Category 2 nuclear facility at Los Alamos National Laboratory.
This role is well-suited for professionals with DOE or nuclear experience who excel in structured, compliance-driven environments and are passionate about supporting safe and efficient operations.
Responsibilities
• Provide support for construction and operational activities within a nuclear facility
• Ensure compliance with DOE and LANL safety and quality standards
• Partner with engineering, construction, and operations teams to meet project objectives
• Maintain and improve work control processes and documentation
• Assist with readiness reviews, approvals, and incident investigations
• Support training programs and compliance tracking efforts
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project success
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in construction, operations, or technical support
• Experience working in DOE or nuclear facility environments
• Background supporting construction in radiological or nuclear settings
• Knowledge of work control, quality, or compliance programs (NQA-1 preferred)
• Ability to obtain DOE Q Clearance
Preferred Qualifications
• 15+ years of relevant industry experience
• Experience in DOE Category II or radiological facilities
• Previous roles such as Field Work Supervisor or Responsible Line Manager
• DOE or nuclear-related certifications
• Experience overseeing complex construction scopes and subcontractors
