What You Will Do:

We have an exciting opportunity to join our client's team in Burlington, Vermont as an Operations/Shop Supervisor. In this role, you will aid in the supervision of a group of technicians with the planning of overall activities, supervision, and coordinate work with other departments to meet schedules and work efficiently. The Burlington Shop Supervisor will assist employees to ensure they are properly trained for their assignments, and that their training records are updated. You will be responsible for all EH&S/CORE/Quality/ITC activities and will perform a variety of technical duties and administrative duties in support of the Operations Manager while serving as the liaison with Customers.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide supervision of a group of technicians assigned to the Service Center.
  • Establish daily٫ weekly and monthly objectives and communicate them to employees.
  • Manage the workflow by assigning responsibilities and preparing schedules.
  • Guide and coach employees٫ monitoring their productivity.
  • Oversee safe use of equipment and schedule regular maintenance.
  • Identify efficiency issues and suggest improvements.
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety guidelines and company standards.
  • Responsible for all EH&S/CORE/Quality/ITC activities within the area.
  • Assist employees to ensure they are properly trained for their assignments and training records are updated.
  • Assist HR in the administration of the FAA Anti-Drug and Alcohol Misuse Prevention Program.
  • Assist with the planning of overall activities and coordination of work with other departments to meet RSCN goals.
  • Assist with administrative duties to support Ops Manager.


Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 5+ years’ experience as an A&P Technician with knowledge of operational practices, or an Associate's Degree with minimum of 8 years of relevant experience
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate
  • Previous experience working with or leading cross functional teams
  • Strong problem solving skills and a proven ability to develop creative solutions to both simple and difficult problems.


Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Previous experience as a supervisor, shift lead, or other position leading a team
  • Must be self-motivated, and high-energy with the initiative to direct and lead.
  • Strong communication skills and a proven ability to communicate with all levels of management.
  • Previous technical experience with Aerospace products.
  • Proficient in SAP, MS Office, CORE tools.
  • Previous experience in aviation aftermarket support.




Work Location

Onsite: This is a fully onsite role supporting critical shop operations. Commuting to and from the facility is the employee’s responsibility.
