Operations Manager Off Shift

Location: Terre Haute, IN (On‑site)

Salary: $120,000

Hours: Full‑time, off‑shift leadership role (nights/weekends)

The Opportunity

We’re looking for a hands‑on, highly autonomous Operations Manager to lead all manufacturing activity across production, quality, maintenance, and warehouse during non‑core hours.

You’ll be the central coordination point for all off‑shift operations ensuring safety, quality, staffing, and performance targets are consistently met while keeping the plant running smoothly in a fast‑paced, high‑volume food manufacturing environment.

This is a key leadership role with wide decision‑making latitude, supporting department heads and acting as the go‑to contact for any off‑shift issues, escalations, or emergencies.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead all off‑shift personnel across production, quality, maintenance, and warehouse operations.
  • Serve as the coordination and escalation point for all off‑shift manufacturing activity.
  • Review daily staffing levels and ensure efficient coverage across all operational areas.
  • Monitor operational performance, drive profitability, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure all KPIs, safety standards, and quality metrics (GMP, SQF, HACCP) are consistently met.
  • Build and support high‑performance teams using Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and best‑practice methodologies.
  • Support training, communication, performance feedback, and discipline in partnership with department leaders.
  • Conduct operations meetings and ensure effective communication across all relevant teams.
  • Maintain a safe working environment and uphold all company safety policies.

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience in food manufacturing operations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Operations Management (or related field).
  • Strong leadership experience within production or operations, ideally in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, team building, and continuous improvement.
  • Experience with quality systems and logistics is a strong advantage.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, SAP, ADP, Ignition, and Mobysis.
  • Strong communication skills — able to interpret technical documents and lead teams effectively.
  • Ability to problem‑solve in fast‑moving environments with limited standardisation.

If the role and responsibilities sound like a good fit for you, then I’d love to speak to you!
