Job Title: Operations Manager
Job Description

We are seeking an Operations Manager to lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of our aircraft detailing business. This role is pivotal in ensuring client satisfaction, efficient job scheduling, and team management.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to incoming leads and schedule in-person aircraft walkthroughs and appointments.
  • Develop service quotes and present pricing to clients.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, FBOs, MROs, and other aviation partners.
  • Address and resolve customer service issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Support local marketing and brand awareness efforts through networking events, FBO outreach, and promotional activities.
  • Schedule and coordinate all detailing jobs and crew assignments efficiently.
  • Ensure optimal staffing across multiple detailing teams, typically consisting of 2–4 technicians per crew.
  • Maintain and update customer records, job files, and service documentation.
  • Provide regular operational updates and performance reporting to ownership.
  • Recruit, hire, onboard, and manage detailing crew members.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards, training protocols, and safety procedures.
  • Enforce FAA Drug and Alcohol Testing Program compliance requirements.
  • Invoice clients and manage follow-up on outstanding receivables.
  • Conduct inventory checks and manage supply ordering and replenishment.
  • Oversee towel cleaning, equipment upkeep, and supply rotation systems.
  • Maintain high safety standards and ensure team adherence to SOPs.
  • Step in as a detailer when needed due to staffing gaps, high demand, or operational requirements.

Work Environment

This position operates within an FAA Certified Repair Station, requiring adherence to critical and changing deadlines. Work is conducted indoors in a hangar, typically from Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, with occasional weekend work based on client needs.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Morristown, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
