Job Title: Operations Manager
Location: Maywood, IL
Salary: $90,000-$118,000+ Bonus
LHH Recruitment Solutions is currently seeking an Operations Manager to join our client's organization in the Maywood, IL area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead daily production, warehousing, and shipping/receiving operations to meet safety, quality, cost, delivery, and customer targets.
- Oversee production planning, scheduling, capacity, and inventory control to align with business and customer demand.
- Ensure compliance with quality, safety, environmental, and regulatory standards across operations.
- Drive corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, yield, quality, inventory accuracy, and on‑time delivery.
- Monitor operational KPIs and costs, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions to meet budget and performance goals.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and work instructions across production and warehouse functions.
- Lead, coach, and develop supervisors and teams to build a high‑performing, engaged operations workforce.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, and Sales to support business objectives.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of leadership experience in manufacturing operations.
- Hands‑on experience in polymer compounding or similar process‑driven manufacturing environments.
- Strong knowledge of production planning, inventory management, warehousing, and logistics.
- Experience working within quality‑, safety‑, and environmentally certified manufacturing environments.
- Proven leadership, problem‑solving, and continuous improvement skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel); ERP/MRP system experience preferred.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced plant environment and manage multiple priorities.
