Function: Leadership of teams in a production environment: production, warehousing, transportation, ingredient purchasing, customer service budgeting and staffing


Position Requirements:

  • Experience leading multiple teams within varying production environments: warehousing/distribution, feed manufacturing and/or grain plant
  • Knowledge of various supply chain elements: warehousing, inventory management, production, customer service and transportation
  • Ability to alternate driving, sitting, walking, climbing, and standing
  • Safely lift, carry and stack feed bags; frequently moving up to 55-pound bags and occasionally moving 65-pound bags up to shoulder height
  • Maintain confidentiality of all information
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs and other software as required
  • Must have valid driver’s license with appropriate vehicle insurance


Essential Duties:

  • Daily supervision of teams in production, receiving, shipping, quality, customer service and inventory accuracy
  • Lead internal and external customer service activities to strengthen relationships, grow our sales volume (tonnage) and improve profitability
  • Coordinate all safety initiatives: training, inspections and accident investigations
  • Maintain adequate, cost-effective inventory and accurate POs of key inputs: ingredients, packaging and supplies
  • Facility coordinator of Safe Feed / Safe Food Audits and organize all maintenance and housekeeping
  • Manage employees including hiring, performance evaluations and coaching to meet performance expectations, develop staff and handle separations.
  • Partner with senior leadership on annual budgeting, capital projects and large purchases


Working Conditions:

  • Environmental conditions, feed manufacturing, warehouse, on farm visits and uneven/slippery work surfaces
