Role Overview:
This position provides necessary and essential mapping and analysis services to the Division of Asset Management in the Technical PLanning & Programming Division through the utilization of the latest in spatial analysis techniques. In addition, this position provides assistance to anyone in need of GIS assistance in the entirety of INDOT. At times, this position directly supports the Road Inventory section, which is responsible for FHWA submissions as well as HPMS data collection and reporting as needed. This position provides expertise to in excess of 100+ individuals in the Division as needed with regards to locating projects, deciphering data from outside sources such as ISP, etc. with regards to critical infrastructure analysis and assistance with presentations. This position is also tasked with assisting individuals from other Divisions that do not possess GIS expertise. This position may be tasked with aiding those outside the agency, in other areas of both state and local government, including but not limited to MPO's, State Police, JTRP, Purdue, etc. This position will participate in statewide GIS initiatives, such as GIS Day, IGIC activities and others as deemed worthwhile.

This position is with INDOT's Central Office Location.
Salary Statement:
The salary for this position traditionally starts at $53,222.00 but may be commensurate with education or work experience.

This position is exempt from overtime compensation for additional work hours which may be required to complete essential functions or other assigned work. Exempt employees may work more than 75 hours in a pay period without additional compensation and must report a minimum of 75 hours per pay period of work hours and/or paid leave taken to receive their base biweekly salary.
