Position Overview
OSF Little Company of Mary is seeking an experienced Operating Room Nurse Manager to oversee daily operations of a multi-specialty surgical department. This is a leadership role with full accountability for staff support, workflow, and clinical excellence within the OR.
Schedule
- Monday – Friday
- 8-hour day shifts
- Start times as early as 6:30 AM; end time varies based on department needs
- 24/7 leadership accountability (no formal on-call schedule)
Compensation & Perks
- Pay Range: $121,909 – $143,416 annually
- Sign-On Bonus: $20,000 (2-year commitment required)
- Position Type: Direct Hire
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily OR operations and staff coordination
- Support charge nurses and team leads
- Ensure efficient case flow and patient care standards
- Step into leadership support roles during urgent staffing situations (not routine floor coverage)
- Maintain accountability for department performance and escalation management

Requirements
- Active RN license (IL or willing to obtain; must have prior RN licensure in another state)
- Minimum 2 years of leadership experience (Manager, Charge RN, or Team Lead)
- Minimum 2 years of OR experience
- Circulating experience required
- BLS certification required
- CNOR preferred
Additional Notes
- Candidates cannot have applied directly to OSF within the last 2 years
- Leadership experience in hospital or ambulatory surgery center settings accepted
- Managers are not expected to take regular floor assignments
