Women’s Health Connecticut is seeking a full-time Office Manager at Women's Health Associates with offices in Newtown & Southbury.

Schedule: Monday- Friday, 8:00am- 5:00pm

Reports to: Lead Physician


Position Summary: The Office Manager will oversee the daily operations of our office, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in all administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a medical billing background, and efficient communication skills.


Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Effectively communicate with physicians, health insurance representatives, and other healthcare professionals
  • Ensure the office is opened and closed daily, as per established schedules.
  • Interview, hire and train new staff in accordance with HR guidelines.
  • Address staff issues and conduct regular performance reviews once approved by Lead Physician.
  • Manage daily staffing to ensure optimal operation of the practice.
  • Oversee supply inventory.
  • Regularly review productivity and make staffing adjustments as needed.
  • Monitor and approve timecards and track licensure requirements for staff
  • Ensure the business needs of the practice are met and actively work to recruit new patients.
  • Responsible for executing projects/changes as directed by the Partner Physicians, and the organization.
  • Manages practice within budgetary guidelines.
  • Review and enter invoices into the accounts payable system.
  • Ensure compliance with all government guidelines.
  • Perform internal compliance audits.
  • Responsible for facilities and premises management.
  • May assist in scheduling appointments and maintaining medical records.
  • Develop and implement office policies and procedures.


Skills/qualifications:

  • 3+ years' experience in office management.
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology is required.
  • Medical office billing experience is required.
  • Proficiency with EMR systems and software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional HR Skills
