Why it's a great opportunity:In this limited duration role supporting the Clerk of the Superior Court and the Finance & Enterprise Services Department, you will assist with both preparing and quality checking over 200,000 records to support a digitization project at Pierce County. You will conduct inventory checks on boxes being transferred to and from the vendor to ensure accuracy and complete appropriate documentation according to policy and procedure throughout the transfer and QC process. You will also perform quality control once received from the vendor by verifying that acceptable quality levels are met and the digital record is an accurate representation of the physical record, interacting with the vendor if errors are found. This position will help bring costly document storage to a modern method for the courts of Pierce County.

Core daily responsibilities:

  • Receive and prepare documents for scanning, verifying data, assisting in the proper completion of forms or documents; and research governing directives to answer questions and resolve routine problems encountered.
  • Assist in specially assigned data searches to develop or recover information from non-standard sources.
  • Prepare a variety of routine material and correspondence from written material and recording; proofread and ensure correct grammar, spelling, punctuation and capitalization on department correspondence.
  • Organize, maintain and retrieve information and documents from files and records.

  • One year of general clerical work experience. Additional education or related experience may substitute for the recruiting requirements.
