We’re partnering with an exceptional school district in Cook County, Illinois searching for a student-centered part-time Occupational Therapist for the extended 2026 school year.


In this role, you will work with students by supporting the development and improvement of their fine motor, sensory, and daily living skills needed to participate successfully in classroom activities and school routines.This is an excellent opportunity to connect with a wonderful new district over the summer in a part-time context.


Position Details:


  • Location: In Person in Cook County, IL (no hybrid or remote options available)
  • Start Date: June 1st, 2026
  • End Date: July 14, 2026
  • Schedule: Part-Time
  • Grade Levels: Various, K-12


Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate students to determine occupational therapy needs related to fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and participation in school routines.
  • Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy plans aligned with IEP goals and educational access.
  • Provide direct occupational therapy services in individual and group settings within the school environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and related service providers to support student engagement and functional participation.
  • Monitor, document, and report student progress toward goals in compliance with state and district requirements.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and provide professional recommendations to support student success.
  • Ensure occupational therapy services comply with all federal, state, and district regulations and best practices.


Qualifications:

  • Master’s or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Active Illinois Occupational Therapist license.
  • Experience working with pediatric or school-aged populations preferred.
  • Knowledge of special education laws, IEP processes, and school-based therapy practices.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
