Obstetrix of California at San Jose: OB Hospitalist Opportunity

Responsibilities

We are seeking an additional experienced BC/BE OB Hospitalistto join a Maternal-Fetal Medicine led Ob Hospitalist practice at Good Samaritan Hospital in San Jose, CA.

  • Five to Six 24-hr shifts per 4 week cycle
  • OB Hospitalist will do on average 0-3 and assist on average 1-2 c-sections
  • Responsibilities will also include Ob triage of unassigned and private patients on request, receive MFM transports (5-6 per month), round on inpatients (postpartum) and shared rounding on antepartum patients with MFM, GYN ER evaluation of unassigned
  • Gyn surgery is managed by a separate on call GYN physician
  • Good Samaritan has a Level III NICU, 24-hr dedicated Anesthesiologist to L&D, 24-hr Neonatologist and 24-hr Pediatric Hospitalist
  • Base pay is $296,400 (for .71 FTE) plus bonus incentive program
  • Base pay is $328,320 (for .780 FTE) plus bonus incentive program
  • Extra hours are paid at $190 per hour

Regular full-time is classified as team members who are consistently scheduled and work 30 hours or more on a weekly basis. Regular full-time team members are eligible for the following:

NOTE: Team members at least 21 years old and are active full-time or part-time employee are eligible to participate in our 401(k) Plan at the time of hire. Team members who meet the plan’s minimum age requirement can enroll in the plan at any time, and contributions will begin as soon as administratively possible.

Team Members are eligible to begin participating in the ESPP if they have been employed by Pediatrix for two consecutive months prior to the start of each calendar quarterly offering period and are scheduled to work a minimum of 20 hours per week for five consecutive months during the year.

Paid Sick Leave:

Eligible full-time team members will receive a lump-sum grant of 40 hours or five days, whichever is more beneficial to the team member, of paid sick leave each year on January 1. A newly hired full-time team member will receive a prorated lump-sum grant after working for 90 days. A lumpsum grant will then be provided on January 1 in each subsequent year as long as the team member remains eligible. Unused sick leave granted under this policy does not carry over from one year to the following year.

NOTE: The Company will not pay team members for unused sick leave upon termination of employment.
