General Summary: Assistant Professor teaching an average of 24 load hours per academic year. Nursing Program Faculty who has clinical load responsibilities are accountable to the Nursing Clinical Adjunct Faculty job description in addition to this one. The position is a 9-month contract that runs from August to May. Primary Duties & Responsibilities: Plan and deliver learning experiences for nursing students to make maximum use of class time. 1. Teach assigned nursing education load. 2. Evaluate student performances in the classroom. Discuss evaluations with students and return evaluation to student file. (Evaluation of student performance includes evaluation of papers, projects, and journals, and returning these to students in timely fashion.) 3. Attend departmental (voting) and institutional faculty (non-voting) meetings. 4. Serve on departmental committees as assigned. 5. Participate in in clinical nursing education, if part of assigned load, abiding by the Nursing Clinical Faculty job description. 6. Participate in the design and development of new health professions programs and in the revision of current health professions programs based on assessment data. 7. Perform other duties as assigned.
