What You Will Do

This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated physician to join an employed position within a busy, well-respected hospital, and full resources of a robust health system network.

Position Highlights

  • Admitting and cross covering of inpatients at our Ascension Saint Thomas Midtown hospital

  • Working with another Nocturnist and an APP each night to cover the inpatient service needs at the hospital.

  • On-site rapid response team and dedicated code team with 24/7 on-site critical care support
  • Procedures are not required
  • Closed ICU with stepdown unit managed by hospitalist team

About the Facility

  • 683 licensed acute and rehab care beds
  • Serving a population of approximately 730,000
  • High volume specialty care in women's health, orthopedics and multidisciplinarylung cancer and robotic surgery
  • Recent expansions at our Midtown hospital include a new ICU and surgical tower, and the Women’s Hospital Pavilion which opened in 2023.

What You Will Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Medical Examiners obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
