Job Description
A client of Insight Global is seeking a Junior Network Engineer to join their team onsite in New Orleans, LA. This individual should be eager, motivated, and looking to grow their career in networking. In this early career engineering role, the Junior Network Engineer will support the design, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network infrastructure across corporate offices and terminal environments. The position provides hands on operational support, exposure to mission critical, multi site industrial and enterprise networks, and opportunities to participate in projects under the guidance of senior engineers. Key responsibilities include supporting and maintaining enterprise network infrastructure across multiple sites, including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless systems. The role focuses on troubleshooting Layer 1–3 issues, performing routine maintenance and upgrades, and assisting senior engineers with escalated incidents, network modernization efforts, and ongoing projects. Additional duties include monitoring LAN/WAN connectivity, maintaining detailed technical documentation, supporting the rollout of new network technologies, and participating in an on call rotation. This position works closely with Systems Operations, Cybersecurity, and the IT Service Desk, while communicating clearly with end users and providing guidance to Tier I/II support staff to ensure stable, secure, and compliant network operations. This is a full-time opportunity offering full benefits. The pay range for this position is $75,000-$85,000 depending on experience. Travel will be required.
