National Account Manager

We are seeking a high-caliber, results-oriented National Account Manager (NAM) to lead the strategic growth of our Pyrex and Snapware portfolios. This role is designed for a rising leader who is ready to take full ownership of high-volume business units within the Club or Mass Retail channels.

 

The NAM will act as the primary business architect for their assigned accounts, driving P&L performance, navigating complex retail ecosystems, and executing multi-year growth strategies. Reporting directly to the Vice President, this position offers significant visibility and is ideal for a candidate motivated by high-stakes account ownership and a future path toward executive leadership.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Business Ownership: Develop and execute business plans that align brand objectives with the specific growth levers of Club and Mass retailers.
  • P&L & Financial Stewardship: Manage trade spend optimization, gross margin management, and forecasting accuracy.
  • Category Leadership: Utilize data-driven insights to influence category reviews, assortment planning, and promotional calendars, positioning our brands as indispensable partners to the retailer.
  • Cross-Functional Orchestration: Collaborate with Supply Chain, Marketing, and Finance to ensure product availability, program execution, and the successful launch of innovative products.
  • Negotiation & Partnership: Act as the lead negotiator for annual contracts and seasonal programs, building deep, multi-level relationships within the customer’s buying and merchandising teams.

 

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience: 4–6 years of progressive experience in National Account Management or Category Management within the CPG industry.
  • Channel Expertise: Proven track record of success managing Club (e.g., Costco, Sam’s Club) or Mass Retail (e.g., Walmart, Target) environments. Experience across both channels is highly preferred.
  • Analytical Proficiency: Clear ability to translate complex data (POS data, retailer portals) into compelling sales stories and actionable business pivots.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred; MBA is a plus.
  • Location: This is a hybrid role, candidates must be based in the Chicago, IL area.
