As an MTS III, Software (Senior Software Engineer), to contribute to the modernization of a critical legacy system and evolve it into a scalable cloud-based platform.
In this role, you will contribute to the migration of an existing on-premises application to AWS cloud infrastructure, ensuring reliability, data integrity, and minimal operational disruption during the transition. As the system is modernized, you will help evolve the architecture toward a modern, service-oriented platform that supports large-scale operational workflows and distributed systems.
This role requires strong hands-on engineering skills and experience working with both legacy systems and modern cloud-native technologies.

Design and build scalable services and APIs that extend the platform’s capabilities.
Develop systems that ingest and process operational data and system telemetry.
Implement event-driven workflows and automation that improve operational efficiency.
Improve system observability, monitoring, and operational reliability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver platform capabilities aligned with long-term architecture goals.
The salary range of $93,000 - $157,000 is just one component of Panasonic’s total package. The final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and incentives.

Experience designing and operating distributed systems with high reliability requirements.
Experience designing and optimizing relational databases and data models.
Experience designing and maintaining APIs and system integrations.
Familiarity with event-driven architectures, data pipelines, or streaming systems.
Experience with containerization, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure automation.
Experience implementing monitoring, logging, and observability practices.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Experience mentoring engineers and contributing to technical direction.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex production issues.
Ability to balance short-term migration goals with long-term platform architecture.
Preferred:
Experience contributing to large-scale cloud migration initiatives.
Experience modernizing legacy monolithic systems.
Experience designing highly available and scalable services.
Familiarity with event-driven or microservices architectures.
