MRI Technologist – Travel Job

Jackson HealthPros is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist for a travel assignment in Milwaukee, WI. The MRI Technologist will accurately interpret physician scanning instructions, prepare and position patients for MRI procedures, operate MRI scanners to create diagnostic images, and perform MRI-guided and breast biopsy procedures as needed.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification, including ARRT-M.
  • State licensure required for Wisconsin.
  • BLS certification.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience as an MRI Technologist. Client will accept candidates with 2 years; first-time travelers are accepted.
  • Demonstrated experience with Siemens 1.5T MRI systems or similar MRI platforms.
  • Experience performing MRI-guided biopsies and breast biopsies preferred.
  • No cardiac pacemaker scanning required; candidate must be familiar with MRI safety screening and contraindications.
  • Experience working with EPIC electronic medical record systems preferred.
  • Ability to work independently, strong attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.


Assignment Details

  • Facility type: Hospital.
  • Shift name: Days.
  • Schedule: Saturday and Sunday 12-hour shifts, plus one additional 12-hour shift on either Monday or Friday (total schedule as described by facility).
  • Standard hours per week: 40.
  • Orientation: One day facility/unit orientation.
  • Patient population: Pediatric through geriatric; orthopedics, neuro, GI, breast cases.
  • Typical patient ratio: 1:1.
  • Unit support: Transporter (1st and 2nd shift), Radiology Assistant, Radiologist, Lead or seasoned MRI Tech on site, Phlebotomy, RRT, hospitalists.
  • Technology/Equipment: Siemens 1.5T magnet specified; medication dispensing via Pyxis.
  • Floating: None required.
  • Scrub color: Any. Free parking available in east parking structure (3rd floor or higher).
