MRI Technologist – Travel Job

Jackson HealthPros is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist for a travel assignment in Milwaukee, WI. The MRI Technologist will accurately interpret physician scanning instructions, prepare and position patients for MRI procedures, and operate MRI scanners to produce diagnostic images that support patient care.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in MRI (ARRT-MR or ARMRIT).
  • State licensure as required for MRI technologists in Wisconsin.
  • BLS certification.
  • 3-5 years of MRI experience per client requirement.
  • Experience with GE and Siemens MRI systems, specifically GE Discovery 750W, Siemens Aera, and Siemens Magnetom Skyra.
  • Experience with patient types including outpatient, inpatient, and emergency department patients; comfort with patients who have implantable devices, neuro, oncology, musculoskeletal cases, ventilated or sedated patients, and whole body and cardiac imaging preferred.
  • Experience using EPIC charting system and McKesson PACS.
  • Previous experience working in a hospital setting, preferably a high-acuity environment such as a Level II trauma center or large tertiary hospital.
  • Ability to maintain 1:1 patient ratios when required.
  • First-time travelers are accepted.
  • Preferred: prior experience in a high-volume MRI environment (weekly census ~250-300 patients) and prior experience with scanner mix and workflow coordination.


Assignment Details

  • Facility type: Hospital.
  • Shift: Days.
  • Standard hours per week: 40.
  • Duration: 13-week travel assignment.
  • Orientation: 3 days of on-site orientation.
  • Scanner environment: operates on multiple scanners; traveler will work with GE Discovery 750W, Siemens Aera, and Siemens Magnetom Skyra.
  • Charting/EHR: EPIC required.
  • PACS: McKesson PACS required.
  • Weekend rotation: maximum every 3rd weekend.
  • Floating: None; MRI-only role.
  • Support on unit: Lead Tech/Coordinator and Imaging Assistants; traveler will not work alone.
