Overview
We are seeking a Monitor Technician, sometimes referred to as our Telemetry Monitor Technician (Tech) or Tele Monitor Tech. A Tele Monitor Tech will be responsible for observing and interpreting patients’ heart rhythms and other vital data transmitted by telemetry equipment. This role is crucial for identifying and alerting the medical team to any abnormalities or critical changes in a patient’s cardiac or health status. The Monitor Technician detects early warning signs of cardiac events, ensuring timely intervention, and improving patient outcomes in our telemetry unit. This position is on a per diem basis, meaning PD/PRN as needed.

Education and Work Experience
High School Diploma or Equivalent or related experience required for all new hires, effective April 2014.Current Dysrhythmia Interpretation Certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain current.Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.Six months previous experience in Healthcare or as Monitor Technician*Note: May provide direct patient care under the direct supervision of the RN within scope of Certified Nursing Assistant if 1) possesses active CNA certification; 2) demonstrates annual competency in CNA duties and skills and 3) is relieved of Monitor Technician duties during the time of assisting the RN.
