Mobility Technician

Sentara Heart Hospital located on the campus of Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, Virginia is hiring a Mobility Tech for the Advanced Heart Failure Specialty Unit!

Shift: Full-Time Days Shift

Advanced Heart Failure Unit:

• 24 bed Specialty Unit that provides high acuity cardiac care to patients with severe heart failure, pre/post heart transplant, the mechanical circulatory ventricular assist devices, and pulmonary hypertension.
• Work with high tech equipment such as mechanical circulatory support including ventricular assist devices (LVAD, BiVAD) and telemetry monitors.
• Environment relies on 24 hours consistent communication and intricate interdisciplinary teamwork skills.
• Nurses handle 3-4 patients on this unit based on acuity level.

Education:

• High School Graduate or Equivalent
• Required to have BLS within 90 days of hire and ACLS within 1 year of hire.

Experience:

• Healthcare experience preferred
