Responsibilities include:

  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following company safety procedures.
  • Sample raw materials and produce test batches as needed.
  • Identify and use proper lot-controlled materials, understand equipment operation and  process
  • Operate department database tools for lot-specific formulas, batch identification, etc.
  • Weigh raw rubber, silicone, and various chemicals in accordance with recipes.
  • Mix elastomer using a mill, internal mixer, dough mixer, or planetary mixer following a recipe.
  • Form elastomer into sheets and strips as needed.
  • Identify finished elastomer during processing and in stock
  • Provide elastomer samples and paperwork to M&P Lab
  • Operate equipment producing quality products while meeting efficiency standards.
  • Check work using the prescribed quality procedure, recording and correcting any required actions
  • Maintain all necessary documents such as inspection check sheets on produced products or equipment, labor cards, or change notices. 
  • Check equipment using prescribed preventative maintenance procedures.
  • Maintain inventory in multiple locations with proper identification 
  • Perform computer transactions, including inventory moves, discrete job moves, etc.
  • Work to eliminate non-value-added activities.
  • Work as part of a team, cross-training as needed.

 

Qualification Requirements

  • Follow prescribed safety procedures.
  • High school diploma or related experience. Plus 2-3 years of related work experience preferred.
  • Must be a self-starter
  • Ability to work from routings and operator instruction sheets. 
  • Ability to perform repetitive motion 
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts. 
  • Good manual dexterity and the ability to lift and/or move heavy weights. 
  • Ability to perform physical labor daily
  • Work from oral and written instructions.
  • Maintain a clean work environment.
  • US Citizen or Permanent Resident
