Job Title: Mission Critical Superintendent

Job Description

This role involves overseeing remodeling projects including VFD, underground infrastructure, relocating and installing new cooling towers, as well as interior work at a data center. The position is based at a data center in Dulles, VA, with the project scope expected to conclude around September 1, 2026. Post-project, opportunities for relocation to other projects in Virginia or travel-based assignments may be available. This position is open to both local candidates and those requiring per diem arrangements.

Responsibilities

  • Provide coordination and supervision of design-build and bid-build projects in mission critical facilities such as tele data switch centers and data centers.
  • Collaborate effectively with clients, the design team, and contractors to ensure project success.
  • Foster and maintain a 'Safety First' culture on the jobsite.
  • Ensure Quality Control and Quality Assurance throughout the project.
  • Manage daily coordination and logistics of subcontractors on the jobsite.
  • Collect, review, and submit shop drawings, product data, and test reports.
  • Develop and update construction schedules, including 'look ahead' schedules.
  • Review estimates with the operations team to ensure logistical and site considerations are included.
  • Author and execute the Method of Procedure.
  • Complete daily and weekly reports and maintain a photo journal of progress.

Essential Skills

  • 5 years of experience as a construction superintendent.
  • Experience in general building construction.
  • Completion of at least 2 mission critical projects as superintendent.
  • Proficiency with Procore or similar construction management software.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in mission critical environments such as tele data switch centers and data centers.
  • Strong construction management skills.

Work Environment

The role involves working in a mission-critical data center environment, with a strong emphasis on safety and quality. The position may require relocation within Virginia or travel-based assignments post-project completion. The role supports a jobsite culture prioritizing safety and quality assurance, with daily management of subcontractors and jobsite logistics. Candidates must be prepared for both local and per diem arrangements.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dulles, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $75.00/hr.
