As a Millwright, you will be responsible for the rigging, lifting, installation, and/or removal of rotating machinery in the field within an industrial environment. This role also involves the erection of steel platforms, ladders, and stairs. The position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment that values precision and craftsmanship.

Responsibilities

• Proficient in basic rigging techniques, and knowledge of slings, chain falls, come-a-longs, and hoists.
• Proficient in basic equipment installation, including anchoring and straight edge alignment of mechanical components.
• Experienced in the erection of multi-level structures consisting of beam and column bolted and/or welded construction.
• Proficient in safe practices for connecting steel.
• Understanding of erection drawings and the assembly of shop fabricated components.
• Ability to work at heights using proper PPE.
• General understanding of crane hand signals and communicating with crane operators when lifting.

Essential Skills

• 2-5 years of previous experience in millwrighting, preferably in an industrial environment.
• Proficiency in construction, steel, PVC, copper, and pipeline work.
• Blueprint reading skills.
• Experience with manufacturing machine installation.
• Welding skills, including TIG welding and stainless steel.
• Troubleshooting abilities.
• Familiarity with ASME codes and standards.
• Familiarity with SMAW, GTAW, and FCAW welding processes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Flexibility to work in both clean (food-grade) and dirty (recycling facilities) environments.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
