Job Title: Mill Machinist - 2nd shift
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled CNC Horizontal Boring Mill Machinist for our 2nd shift. The role involves complete machine setups, making offsets and adjustments, reading G/M coding and blueprints, changing out tooling, working with large delicate pieces, performing first part inspections, and handling various metal materials such as castings and steel. The machinist will be responsible for creating true positions (zero-point), running metrology checks on parts, and washing completed parts for packing. Additionally, the role requires the use of an overhead crane to move casings.

Work Environment
The work environment is a small, family-owned T&D shop with a 'Mom/Pop' feel. The 2nd shift runs from 3:00pm to midnight. Employees are expected to wear appropriate attire suitable for a machining shop and utilize precision measuring tools and overhead cranes.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elkhart, IN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
