Boeing Defense, Space, and Security (BDS) is seeking motivated and dedicated Aerospace Systems Safety and Airworthiness Engineer to join the System Safety and Mission Assurance team in Everett, WA. Our team is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including, Mid-Level (Level 3) or Senior (Level 4) Aerospace Systems Safety and Airworthiness Engineer.

As a Systems Safety Engineer, you will have a unique opportunity to engage with the entire life cycle of our Mobility & Surveillance programs, from conceptual development through design and testing, to production and sustainment of fielded aircraft. This includes working on prominent programs such as the P-8, KC-46, E-7, and VC-25B, all based in the Puget Sound region.
In this role, you will gain insight into the complexities of the defense industry while obtaining hands-on experience with the aircraft. The Systems Safety team is responsible for the Systems Safety efforts for each of the Mobility & Surveillance products, conducting analysis and oversight for fundamental aircraft functions, and leading design safety activities for the aircraft’s mission systems. Additionally, the team provides guidance and integration with Mission Assurance and other related functions, including Environment, Safety, and Occupational Health teams, focusing on airworthiness, design for Environment, Health and Safety, and the Hazardous Materials Management Program.
Primary responsibilities:
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at Everett, WA.
